Kevin Flores, aka Kev Da Khemist, is an Ecuadorian American music producer, recording engineer and author from Los Angeles, CA. He studied recording engineering at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.

Kev has worked with Curtis Young (son of Dr. Dre), Aloe Blacc, Omar Cruz, Crooked I, Compton Menace, Glasses Malone, Mario Ruiz (Voice of ESPN LA), Middleweight Champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin, Trae Tha Truth, EDI Don, Aztek Escobar, K-Young, Slug (of Atmosphere), C-Rayz Walz, Young B The Future and countless independent artists.

Kev is a multiple-time beat battle champion whose sound has dominated competitive stages, with his signature, hard-hitting productions.

His musical journey began in elementary school where he learned to play the drums and other percussion instruments. In high school, Kev joined the drumline. From Hip-Hop to Cumbia, he grew up listening to a variety of music. Kev is influenced by legendary producers Dr. Dre, J Dilla, Kanye West & Giorgio Moroder.

Kev's sound ranges from gritty Hip-Hop beats to booming Trap productions. His signature production style is sample based with hard drums and heavy low end. Every beat is crafted with quality in mind, not quantity.

He launched his beat store and services page in 2026. The ultimate goal of offering beats and services online is to connect with more artists and add real value to the culture. To assist talented individuals in growing their artistry and maximizing their potential.

Kev is also an author and released the raunchy romantic comedy novel “Love Hertz” in 2022 with co-writer Aaron Mostow. Kev’s mission is to create impactful music that resonates with listeners and to tell compelling stories that captivate readers.
