Beat Lease – Terms & Conditions
 
1. Grant of License
By purchasing a Beat Lease, the Producer (Kev Da Khemist) grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the beat for a song, video, or performance.
 
2. Permitted Uses
The Licensee may:
 
Record vocals or instruments over the beat
Release the song on all major platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.)
Monetize the song (within the limits stated below)
Perform the song live
 
 
3. Distribution & Monetization Limits
The Licensee may distribute up to 50,000 total streams or equivalent across all platforms.
Larger usage requires an Exclusive License or written upgrade from Kev Da Khemist.
 
4. Ownership
Kev Da Khemist retains full ownership of the original instrumental.
The Licensee owns only the lyrics/vocal performance they create.
Licensee may not claim ownership of the beat.
 
5. Restrictions
The Licensee may NOT:
 
Sell, lease, or sublicense the beat to any third party
Register the beat or instrumental in any Content ID system
Use the beat for unlawful, defamatory, or hateful content
Alter the beat’s structure, tempo, or arrangement (mixing vocals is allowed)
 
 
6. Publishing Split
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
 
50% Licensee (lyrics/performance)
50% Kev Da Khemist (instrumental)
Publishing registration is required for commercial releases.
 
 
7. Credit
Licensee must credit the producer as:
“Prod. by Kev Da Khemist”
This must appear on all releases, metadata, social media posts, and promotional materials.
 
8. Term Length
This lease is valid for 5 years from the date of purchase.
After expiration, the released song may remain online, but no new uses or distributions may be made without renewal.
 
9. Indemnification
The Licensee agrees to indemnify and hold Kev Da Khemist harmless from any claims resulting from the Licensee’s lyrics, use, or distribution of the song.
 
10. Termination
Any violation of these terms results in immediate termination of the license without refund.
